Can I share the charging station at home (private or via the employer of my partner) with my employer?

Situation

Your employer offers you a charging station for charging your company car. You already have a charging station at home, purchased privately or via your partner's employer. To avoid installing a 2nd charging station, you would like to use this existing charging station. The aim is for your charging sessions to be reimbursed by your employer.

Private charging station

• Without CPO management
  The decision to take over the CPO management of your private charging station lies primarily with your employer.
  In case your employer does not allow the CPO takeover of a private charging station, you will most likely receive a proposal for the installation of a new charging station.
  If a CPO takeover is allowed, there are five minimum technical requirements that your charging station must meet in order to be included in the MobilityPlus network. 
   From the moment MobilityPlus takes over CPO management of your private charging station, it is still possible to manage the charging station via an app from the manufacturer (or third parties) or to integrate it into your own EMS or home automation system. • With CPO management
  • The charging station is set Private
    In order for the charging costs for your company car to be reimbursed, MobilityPlus will need to take over the CPO management. 
    The decision to take over the CPO management of your private charging station lies primarily with your employer.
    In case your employer does not allow the CPO takeover of a private charging station, you will most likely receive a proposal for the installation of a new charging station.
    If a CPO takeover is allowed, there are five minimum technical requirements that your charging station must meet in order to be included in the MobilityPlus network. 
    Please also let us know if any other family members use the charging station, and we will work with you to find the best solution.

  • The charging station is set (Semi-)Public
    Then there is a real chance that you can use your MobilityPlus charge card to charge at this charging station. This charging session is considered a public charging session (you manage the charge rates) and the cost for the charging session will be charged to your employer by the CPO operator of the charging station.
    Your employer will surely be curious about the rates set. Inform him about this.

Charging station via your partner's employer

• The charging station is set Private
  In this case, the charging station is only accessible to the charge card(s) set on the charging station's whitelist (usually the charge card of your partner's employer). Thus, the consumed energy is reimbursed to your partner by his/her employer.
  
  Check with your partner's employer whether they are willing to share their charging station with another employer. Verify with the CPO operator of the charging station if they can offer a solution so that your employer can reimburse you for the energy consumed and submit this to your employer to see if this solution meets their conditions.
   
• The charging station is set (Semi-)Public
  Then there is a real chance that you can use your MobilityPlus charge card to charge at this charging station. This charging session is considered a public charging session and the cost for the charging session will be charged to your employer by the CPO operator of the charging station.
  Your employer will surely be curious about the rates set. Inform him about this.
