More and more often, one or more charging stations are already present at your home or company site, and you wishe to include these charging stations in the MobilityPlus network, for example, for processing charging sessions and reimbursing home charging sessions.
Whether MobilityPlus can take over the CPO management depends on a number of technical minimum requirements. If the charging station meets these requirements, the file can generally be reviewed further. (Note: an audit/validation is always necessary.)
5 technical requirements
- The charging station supports OCPP 1.6 (or higher)
MobilityPlus can only manage a charging station if it can communicate via OCPP 1.6 (or higher). Without an OCPP connection, we cannot reliably integrate the device into our CPO-management system.
- An RFID card reader is present
To correctly authorize charging sessions (which charge card is allowed to charge) and to clearly monitor usage, an RFID card reader is required.
- The charging station has a MID meter (certified meter)
For accurate measurements and reporting, a MID meter must be present. This is important for the reliability of kWh registration and further processing.
- The necessary access credentials (password/login) are available
For a takeover, MobilityPlus must gain access to the charging station’s settings. Therefore, password or login are necessary.
- The charging station can communicate online (via SIM card or LAN connection)
The charging station must be able to communicate stably online with the MobilityPlus portal. It must be possible to install or replace a SIM card in the charging station, or a fixed internet connection must be in place via a LAN cable.
Even if your charging station meets all these conditions, we will still perform a technical check/audit to definitively confirm the possibility of takeover.
