As an employee with your employer's home charging station
1. Charging your company car
You continue to charge via the MobilityPlus charge card as you do today, with reimbursement at the chosen CREG rate (your employer's choice).
2. Public charging sessions
Your partner charges his/her company car with the public charge card of his/her employer as a public user.
Your home charging station becomes visible on the map in the MobilityPlus app and in the applications of our roaming partners. Your charging station is named Private at home with the indication Not publicly accessible area (padlock icon on the charging map).
We deliberately do not install your charging station in a semi-public mode to ensure that your partner’s charge card can initiate a charging session. This is because, at semi-public charging stations, charging rates are not shared with roaming partners, and an increasing number of charge card providers no longer allow charging sessions if they are not aware of the prices.
For public charging sessions, you receive compensation per kWh 'sold' at the regional CREG rate for the consumed energy. This rate is considered by the Federal Public Service Finance as the maximum rate for home charging on which no tax is due. If this rate is higher than your actual electricity cost for these public charging sessions, you must declare the difference yourself as miscellaneous income.
The public charging rate is set by us as follows: (regional CREG rate + 10%) × 1.21 (21% VAT). This is the rate charged to your partner's charge card provider.
In your partner's charge card provider app, he/she can see exactly which charging costs will be charged to his/her employer.
3. Payment of public charging sessions
You receive a document from us quarterly with the amount paid out for your partner's public charging sessions at your home charging station. We transfer this amount to the bank account number known to us.
The VAT handling is done entirely by MobilityPlus.
As the owner of your charging station
1. Public charging sessions
Others will charge as public users with their own charge cards
Your charging station becomes visible on the map in the MobilityPlus app and in the applications of our roaming partners.
The income you wish to receive from public charging sessions is set by you in the MobilityPlus portal. These rates are displayed on the charging station screen as follows: (your rate + 10% surcharge*) × 1.21 (21% VAT). This is the rate charged to the charge card provider of the person charging at your station.
The person wanting to charge at your home charging station consults the application of his/her charge card provider to know exactly which charging costs will be charged.
* The 10% surcharge compensates for:
- the transaction costs (+/- 3% depending on the card type and bank) when using classic payment methods. These are withheld at source by Worldline.
- the standard commissions (4%) for offering an extensive roaming network. This commission is also withheld at source.
- the payment guarantee. Even if MobilityPlus does not receive funds from the involved MSPs, you always receive your income timely and in full.
- the costs for setting up and maintaining our IT infrastructure. Thanks to this infrastructure, we guarantee both price transparency and support for classic payment methods.
2. AFIR compliance of your charging station
The home charging station is made AFIR-compliant. This European legislation applies to public charging stations.
This means that:
- Consumer rates are visible on the display of the charging station. These charging rates only apply when a classic payment method is used.
- classic payment methods are supported via a dynamic QR code
There are no additional costs associated with this.
3. Payment of public charging sessions
