Situation
For charging your company car, your home is equipped with a MobilityPlus charging station by your employer. Home charging sessions for your company car are reimbursed by your employer.
Your partner also has an electric company car and also wishes to use your employer's charging station. This is to avoid having to install a 2nd charging station at your home. The aim is that these charging sessions will be reimbursed by your partner's employer.

Then it suffices to purchase a Friends and Family card from MobilityPlus. There is no subscription attached to this. Send us a ticket to request this pass and/or the cost price.

Reimbursement of charging costs through an expense report
As Charge Point Operator (CPO) of the charging station at your home, MobilityPlus facilitates the reimbursement of the charging costs. To this end, we provide a monthly overview of your charging sessions (kWh) to your employer.In addition,
MobilityPlus also offers charging passes. Via this MobilityPlus charging pass, you start and end the charging sessions for your company car at home. As a result, these charging sessions and the energy consumed are correctly registered and we can share this information with your employer on a monthly basis.
For these services, your employer enters into an agreement with MobilityPlus.
The rate per kWh for reimbursement is set out in your car policy. Based on this data, your employer calculates the value of your charging costs and reimburses them to you tax-free via an expense report. This fits legally and fiscally into the BIK (Benefit-In-Kind) company car system.
Multi-employer charging station sharing solution
MobilityPlus can offer the same services to your partner('s employer). This requires 3 things:
- The owner of the charging station (generally your employer) must give his agreement for sharing with your partner's employer
- Your partner's employer subscribes to MobilityPlus to facilitate reimbursement of the charging costs associated with your partner's company car
- Your partner's employer provides your partner with a MobilityPlus charging pass to properly log charging sessions
Exceptions:

You and your partner work for the same company that is already a MobilityPlus customer
In this case, nothing extra needs to be done. Your partner uses the public MobilityPlus charge card to charge at the charging station. Consumption is reported separately for both of you. The reimbursements go to the partner for whom the charging station was initially installed.

You and your partner work for different companies, both customers of MobilityPlus
If your employer is willing to share the charging station with other employers, this is added to the existing agreement via an addendum. Your partner's employer does not have to do anything. Your partner uses the public MobilityPlus charging card to charge at the charging station. The consumption is reported to your respective employers. You and your partner receive the reimbursement for your personal charging sessions.
How exactly does the application proceed?
Step 1
Check with your fleet manager who exactly owns the charging station at your home. If your employer purchased the charging station, they are obviously the owner. If they did not purchase the charging station, MobilityPlus is the owner, unless you purchased the charging station yourself.

If your employer does not wish to share the charging station with other employers, there is nothing else but to have a 2nd charging station installed.
If your employer does wish to share the charging station, have your fleet manager contact MobilityPlus so that we can start this up (if this has not already happened).

MobilityPlus is the owner or you are the owner
In this case, it is possible to share the charging station at your home with other employers.

Step 2
If the owner is willing to share the charging station, you will receive the necessary documents from us by email to set this up. Send these to your partner's employer.
As soon as we receive the signed documents, we will activate the extra service at your home charging station and send you the charging pass for your partner.
